Back in time from Barichara to Guane

Thursday, January 27

Yesterday we arrived at this old colonial town of Barichara. Had a evening walk and a perfect dinner. Toay a local guide with his dog walk us to Guane. The guide tells about the history of town and the track we will do. First some stretching and then down hill. The track is through the mountains and a stony track. Along the route we stop at a viewpoint, a big rock with cross, and have lunch. See some birds, not much, and notice that it’s getting hot. Around 10 h we walk into Guane, an old town, not touristy. Visit the local museum and see what fossils they found around the place. Quite impressive. This town is basically a square with houses and a church around. Back by car and have a dive in the pool. Enjoying the coolness of the pool and the sunny weather. Later that day we visit the paper making of town. Friday, we have a relaxed day. A bit of walking, relaxing, shopping and the pool.
